Our Philosophy

At Natural Healing Pet Care, we believe in choice. There are risks to vaccinating and risks to not vaccinating. During your visit, we will evaluate lifestyle, home environment, travel, association with other pets, and need for boarding. With this information, along with your pet’s age, health status, and conditions, we will discuss your pet's risk assessment. Ultimately, we will respect whichever decision you feel is best for you and your pet based on your personal philosophies, beliefs, and the information we provide during the visit.

Our Approach

We typically recommend fewer vaccines than most practices. Instead, we rely on vaccine titers to determine if a booster is necessary. A booster vaccine increases antibodies in the body to a particular virus or bacteria, while a titer measures those antibodies. When your pet has sufficient levels of antibodies, a booster vaccine isn’t needed. Additionally, as stated on every vaccine label, vaccines should only be given to healthy animals.
