Hospice and Palliative Care
There comes a time in life when the fighting is over—when kidney disease has progressed too far, arthritis has become too severe, or cancer has turned too aggressive. In these moments, we find ourselves putting away medications, discarding prescription diets, and ultimately surrendering to the reality that our beloved companions will soon be leaving us. This is the point at which we enter hospice care, a stage focused solely on comfort. Comfort encompasses the body, mind, and spirit, and it is here that Natural Healing Pet Care can assist you. Our team is both conventionally and holistically trained, allowing us to offer a variety of treatments and strategies to support your cherished pet. This leg of the journey can last anywhere from days to months, and we promise to help and support you and your pet through this difficult time, infusing beauty into this important stage of life.
What to Expect

Hospice care begins with a veterinary evaluation. This can be performed virtually or in home. Your hospice care plan will include suggestions for accommodations in your home, along with an individualized medical plan tailored to your pet's specific needs to keep your pet as comfortable as possible in body, mind and spirit. We will discuss quality of life and guide you through knowing when it’s time for final goodbyes. This is a dynamic process and requires a close relationship between our doctors and hospital staff and you to ensure your pet maintains the highest quality of care.
